Absolutely wonderful experience! The sightseeing tour was unforgettable — we saw incredible wildlife up close, from whales to eagles, all in their natural habitat. The captain was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip feel both safe and personal. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a truly special way to experience Alaska’s beauty.

Hanson Trip 2025 to Prince William Sound and Port Ashton Lodge 3 day trip to Prince Wiliam Sound. The captain and crew were excellent. Will book with this charter again! The vessel was very clean and had experienced crew.

Had a good trip. Clear day, little windy. Fishing was slow, but our Captain Jeffrey, worked hard to keep this group comfortable and chase fish. Although Silvers were slow, we still got several and many other great fish. Over all had a great day. The captain worked hard the whole trip.

Captain Nik and his crew took us out on the Voyager for a full day of salmon fishing. The entire trip was stunningly beautiful, everyone got their limit and the whales were absolutely incredible.

Did a 3/4 day combo fishing and sightseeing tour with our family group of 9 people, including 4 small children. Captain Vik, Preston and crew were great. We caught our limits, saw a glacier calving, saw whales and sea lions and puffins — it was amazing. Of course, the crew doesn’t control nature and some of that is luck of the draw, but the crew was fantastic interacting with us and the kids, happily going where we asked, circling backwards to get a closer look at wildlife we thought we had seen, etc. Thank you!

Me and my buddy went out with Jeff on July 2nd 2025 for salmon and rockfish and he was GREAT! We learned some regional WW II history (Barwell Island) on the way out and Jeff put us on silvers and rockfish till we got our limits of EVERYTHING.

We saw many whales, puffin, sea lions etc.

Awesome Halibut/Lingcod full day Me and a buddy went on a Crackerjack full day halibut/lingcod boat with Capt Matt on July 3rd 2025.Best fishing trip I've ever been on! Sea was a bit rougher than usual. He put us on Halibut first, then he put us on a rockfish bed that was twice the size of the boat (small) and we drifted off of it quickly but EVERY time we dropped lines we were on them.Then the most impressive part was putting us on Lings and all 6 of us had our 36 + inch fish in less than 10 minutes! We did two days with Capt Jeff on the Crackerjack and it was the best charter trip my family and I have ever been on. Capt Jeff was exceptionally knowledgable, extremely competent and a lot of fun. Besides fishing we saw a lot of wildlife including orcas and humpback whales, mountain goats, sea otters and all kinds of birds. We will definitely go out with Capt Jeff and Crackerjack Charters again.

Best fishing experience ever The BEST charter fishing trip we’ve been on! We did two days on the Crackerjack with Capt Jeff and had the most memorable time. We caught halibut, salmon and rock fish. He always knew where to find fish. He also knew where to see wildlife, too. We saw a pod of orcas, humpback whales, mountain goats with their babies, sea otters and a variety of seabirds.Crackerjack Charters was easy to book with, the gals in the office were great and of course, Capt Jeff was the BEST! We’ll be back!

Combo fjord and fishing trip We took the 3/4 day private combo trip of sightseeing and fishing. We have kids 7 and 10 and I did not think they could do a full day in the Kenai Nat’l Park and another day fishing so this offers both in one day. It was really the only company I found that offered something like this in the area. Captain Mick (the owner I think) and his first mate met us at 8 am and we rode three hours out to the Kenai National Park. There were some rollers but the waves don’t bother us luckily. We were also lucky that it was dry all day with no rain. I wish I had brought Uno or something for the kids, this first part was a bit boring for them. Once we started seeing whales, they were more interested. We saw maybe five orcas and one humpback. Seeing the Holgate glacier up close was cool. I had hoped for a little more info to be shared by the crew on the area and animals, but I also wasn’t surprised that we didn’t get much… they are after all a fishing charter at heart. We fished at the back end of the charter closer to Resurrection Bay. We unfortunately didn’t have much luck, getting three fish over two hours. The captain did try hard, moving us a few times to try to find a better spot. This was an expensive trip (and we do a lot of private trips) but the combo made sense for us. The boat was clean, the first mate was friendly and good with the kids, especially with tangled lines etc.

My family and I had a great day halibut fishing with Captain Jeff on the Crackerjack. He worked tirelessly to put us on fish, and was extremely patient and helpful with four novice halibut fishermen on board. His experience and personality made it a great day on the water for us all. Also, many thanks to Anj and Cindy in the office who didn't hesitate to get us Crackerjack T-shirts and ball caps after we'd gotten back home. Can't wait to return and fish again with Crackerjack Charters!
