These exciting trips are primarily for the Silver or Coho Salmon and are offered in July and August. There is a huge run of silver salmon that terminates in Resurrection Bay as well as some nice resident king salmon. There are times that our bay is so full of jumping salmon there seems to be as many as there are stars in the sky... . The abundance allows us to fish two shorter trips each day. The trips run about 5 hours. We use high quality G.Loomis rods and lever drag reels from Avet and Accurate. We utilize several techniques to capture the salmon. We can drift or anchor mooching for the salmon. This involves slowly dropping and retrieving a bait. It is simple to learn and very effective. We are also set up to troll either bait or lures if the salmon are spread out. Our salmon boat is equipped with 4 electric downriggers. Either way, we are ready to find the salmon and get you and your group on the water fishing & catching! If you are short on time and want to try a few hours of fishing, the half-day is a great way to get out on the bay.
